NSRP Call 2

Applications for Call 2 of the North South Research Programme will be open to all eligible researchers in any discipline, at early, mid or advanced stages of their careers. Lead Investigators and Consortium Co-Leads identified on proposals must be at a minimum two years post PhD.

Subject to available budget and the recommendation of the International Assessment Panel, projects with a maximum value of €4m each and a maximum duration of 48 months from either Strand II: Emerging Hubs of Excellence or Strand III: Partnerships of Scale will be provided with funding.  Interdisciplinary project proposals are encouraged.

Application Process

Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) and an EOI Endorsement Form is the first step in the application process. Please consult the documentation on this page prior to the submission of an EOI.

A complete and endorsed Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted to the HEA (research@hea.ie) by the Research Office at the Lead Administrative/Governance Institution in Ireland by the EOI deadline of 4pm on Thursday the 5^th of December 2024 on behalf of a proposed consortium.

Approval for an application to be submitted as a full proposal will be communicated to the Research Office of the Lead Administrative/Governance Institution in Ireland no later than the 18th of December 2024.

The application portal will close at 4pm on the 27th of February 2025. No late applications will be accepted.

Please note that only applications approved by the HEA during the Expression of Interest stage will be deemed eligible to submit a full application through the online system.
