The Higher Education Authority (HEA) welcomes the announcement by the Minister for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor T.D., of the latest steps towards reform of legislation governing the HEA and its oversight of the higher education and research system.
The HEA looks forward to working with the Minister and her Department in progressing this important legislation which will seek to maintain an appropriate balance between accountability and the autonomy of higher education institutions.
