The HEA is pleased to announce the publication of a proposed HEA Funding Framework and the opening of a consultation process on this Framework.

S37(2) of the Higher Education Authority Act 2022 (the “HEA Act”) requires that the HEA shall from time to time, with the approval of the Minister, prepare and establish a framework – in the HEA Act referred to as a ‘funding framework’ – for the allocation of funding to bodies seeking funding in a manner that is consistent with the objects and functions of the Authority  provided for in the HEA Act and in accordance with any directions given to it by the Minister at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
