Non-Progression and Completion in Irish Higher Education

Overview
These interactive tables show the non-progression and completion rates of first year new entrants into Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), drawn from data returned from HEA funded institutions to the HEA’s Student Record System database (SRS).

New Entrants
A New Entrant is defined as a person entering a full-time undergraduate programme (year 1) for the first time. This definition therefore excludes repeat and transfer students. The data is taken from the SRS as of March the first of the reference year (e.g., 01 March 2022 for entrants in the 2021/22 academic year).

Note
A space means there are no New Entrants in that particular cohort. A dash (-) denotes the number of new entrants is less than 25 and consequently the non-progression rate is not displayed. For any further queries, please contact statistics@hea.ie (Data updated 29/02/2024)
