Gender Equality Enhancement Fund 2023 and Second Call announcement

The HEA has awarded funding of €94,321.42 under the Gender Equality Enhancement Fund 2023 to advance gender equality initiatives in Irish higher education. Awards were made across two areas:

  • research on or advancing gender equality initiatives in Ireland;
  • training programmes specifically addressing gender equality;

Projects were funded across several areas including the evaluation of leadership development programmes and gender equality during transformational change within institutions.

Gender Equality Enhancement Fund 2023 – Second Call

The HEA is opening a second Gender Equality Enhancement Fund call for applications on 11th September 2023. Institutions are invited to submit applications for funding under the Gender Equality Enhancement Fund Call 2023 in line with the requirements set out in the Call for Applications. Following a competitive process based on this call for applications from HEIs, the HEA will approve funding to support gender equality initiatives to be implemented nationally.

Applications should be completed and submitted to the HEA (EDI@hea.ie) by 12 noon, Tuesday 31st October 2023.
