Provide a short description of the project

CIRDAS provides a unique and compelling opportunity to avail of subsidised education delivered by our panel of industry and academic experts, whilst networking with peers.

We utilise close engagement with enterprise partners from industry and academia across digital and in person channels through delivery of masterclasses and accredited programmes to provide an effective and strong feedback loop with work-based learners. This engagement has facilitated the co-creation of educational content and ensures it remains relevant whilst adding value for the work-based learner.

At CIRDAS through HEA funding we aim to become the education partner of choice for the insurance sector by actively engaging and developing relationships with the insurance sector towards delivery of bespoke education solutions in an innovative and agile manner to build the workplace of the future.

This is achieved in several ways through our offerings of:

• Accredited education programmes & certificates
• Workshops

We seek to provide our solutions in a flexible manner that best fits around the demands of busy work lives via blended learning and evening time delivery.

CIRDAS has developed a relationship with inclusio© via an introduction from the South-East Financial Services Cluster (SEFSC).

 

inclusio© delivers a science-based, data led diversity & inclusion platform that combines technology, psychology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to measure, track and action D&I across an organisation. (www.inclusio.io)

 

Resulting from this a pathway to D&I Certification is now being provided, by developing knowledge and understanding through a pilot series of EDI masterclasses that serve as a foundational step to our accredited EDI Certificates and Higher Diploma, and concurrently engage with the development of the EDI maturity framework known as VOiCE for Insurance.

 

In October 2022 along with our enterprise partner inclusio launched an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Maturity framework which is a first for the Insurance industry in Ireland. The framework Values Openness, Inclusive Culture & Equity which was named (VOiCE) for Insurance and resulted from extensive industry engagement with an initial group of 6 insurance firms but which is expected to grow further in 2023.

 

Collaboration with WWETB, County Wexford Chamber Skillnet, Insurtech Network Centre, Insurtech Ireland, Society of Actuaries, Engineering the South East, The South East Regional Skills Forum, Ireland South East Financial Services Cluster and our 50+ industry partners.

Provide a brief summary of the project’s key enterprise engagements

Partnership with AXA- Learning Academy

As a supporter of the creation of the CIRDAS initiative, AXA have begun three level 8 modules as part of the AXA learning academy launch in September 2021 that increased awareness of the project and garnered national attention through traditional and social media channels.

AXA have utilised the CIRDAS offering, matched with their skills audit and company strategy to segment their staff into the following development groups: 1. Data Group, 2. Leadership Group and 3. Project Management Group.

Cyber & Fin-crime Seminar

At ATU in December 2022 more than 100 people attended an in-person seminar about the trillion-dollar industry that is cyber-crime, delivered by Paul C Dwyer of the International Cyber Threat Task Force.

Demystifying Data Masterclass

In September 2022 Partnering with the CTO and co-founder of Describe Data Dr Mick Cooney, we developed a series of 8 masterclasses seeking to instil learners with foundational knowledge of the principals of data, data analysis, data validation, data visualisation and data planning as an entry point into our Higher Diploma in Innovative Data Generation, Analytics and Management.

EDI Masterclass

In September 2022 partnering with CEO and co-founder Inclusio Sandra Healy as well as the Growth Strategist- Simon Haigh and in line with AXA’s strategy for 2023 on EDI we designed and provided a single introductory masterclass specifically for AXA staff. The session was very well attended and stimulated the interest of their staff resulting in a larger number of learners attending our October EDI masterclass series.

Project Management

In January 2023 we are launching a series of 4 masterclasses in Project Management for the AXA group identified from their skills audit which creates a pathway onto project management aligned modules within the Management pillar of the Higher Diploma in Innovative Data Generation, Analytics and Management.

Future of Insurance (ESG)

This masterclass series is currently being developed in conjunction with a number of partners including First Derivative, Describe Data and Insurtech Ireland and is due for delivery in April 2023.
