Overview
The official launch of the Limerick Framework for Action: Advancing Global Health Promoting Campus Agenda was held on December 1st, 2025. Over 500 people from across the world attended the launch event, which was hybrid, held in-person at the Alex Hotel, Dublin, Ireland and online.
The agenda included an opening address by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless, a presentation on the Limerick Framework for Action and addresses from IHPCN Co-Chairs, WHO Representatives, student voices and a recording from voices across the globe.
The launch event celebrates Ireland’s national policy on student and staff health and wellbeing through the HEA Healthy Campus Charter and Framework and the HEA National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework.
This event was cohosted by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), Ireland, University of Limerick (UL), Ireland, and the International Health Promoting Campus Network (IHPCN).
