About

The International Health Promoting Campuses (IHPC) Conference 2025 was held 16-19th June 2025 at that the University of Limerick. The four-day conference gathered students, researchers, policymakers, and higher education institution (HEI) leaders from across six continents to share knowledge and collaborate on strategies for healthier and more sustainable campuses.

Background & Purpose

The International Health Promoting Campuses Conference is a global event focused on creating healthier universities by embedding health and wellbeing into all aspects of campus life. The Health Promoting Campuses movement is built upon foundational documents including the 2005 Edmonton Charter and the 2015 Okanagan Charter.

Conference Themes

The International Health Promoting Campuses Conference 2025 marked the 10th anniversary since the creation of the Okanagan Charter (and Edmonton Charter in 2005) for Health Promoting Campuses with the overarching theme of celebration and recognition and planning the next steps.
